TEA has been operating since 2013 when I stopped lecturing at a tertiary level. I opened the study centre in order to provide quality, Cambridge-based education to smart teenagers in the Randburg/Sandton area. My degrees in psychology and extensive work in international and local academic instiutions has made me realise that there are many kids that are too bright and too different to fit in well at a regular school and need a place to study indepedently and do brilliantly. TEA study centre is perfect for the athlete or performer too as "school" hours are shorter,  allowing for more time to train, and the syllabus is more flexible than traditional school.

A study centre is a place for home-schoolers to work, socialise, recieve quality tutoring and generally thrive! The kids can use the facilities at the centre to further their own education and achieve the results they need to get into university almost anywhere in the world. Cambridge IGCSEs and AS levels are well recognised in over 160 countries worldwide including the UK, Australia and the USA.

Why choose To Educate Academics; a Cambridge-based centre for secondary education?

Many of my students are at TEA because they enjoy the opportunities it offers. From the freedom of subject choices to the lack of uniform to the international qualifications; TEA students are happy students. The small, home-style environment means that students can study independently or in groups and have tiny tutoring classes in key subjects weekly. They also have the options to delay or accellerate their schooling depending on their individual needs and ability. TEA also does a variety of non-academic programmes and excursions including visits to art galleries, museums, watching documentaries at the cinema and going to local and international exhibitions. Job shadowing and community service also form part of the flexible LO programme. TEA is a full time academic centre that offers a Cambridge-based secondary syllabus in a relaxed and informal setting.
